空いている左の車線を、アクセルを踏み抜ける。
（何しろ、久しぶりの首都高なのだ）

車が流れだす。
芝公園。東京タワー。
トラックのテールランプ。ジャガーのクラクション。
通り過ぎてゆく、ビルの矩形。金融屋の看板。

不思議なほど大きく見える。

浜崎橋ジャンクションより右車線へ。11号台場線へ降りてゆく。
そのまま、左車線を、レインボーブリッジへ。
観覧車。テレビ局の奇妙な建物。
工場の灯り。ビルのシルエット。
海。屋形船。
満月。
あたりは少しずつ薄やみに包まれつつある。
地上の灯りと、空の明るさが微妙に入り交じって、
たそがれ時の独特の空気である。
いつも思うのだが、東京は、一日のうちでこの時間帯が一番美しい。
そして今日の満月は、ことさらだ。
残念なのは、カメラを持っていなかったこと。
更に残念なのは、美しい瞬間は、長くは続かないこと。
注意していなければ、その最も美しい瞬間は、すぐにうつろい、消えてしまう。
（幸いにも、今日は、その瞬間に巡り会えたようだ）
視界の中に、無数のテールランプが映る。
隣の車線を走っている、ベンツのドライバーには、
この景色はどう見えるのだろう。
先ほどまでわたしの車をあおっていた、トラックのドライバーには？
